The health centre is strategically placed in the area which will greatly reduce cases of women delivering at home thus causing deaths of either the mother or the child.

According to Ichungwa the hospital will assist a lot of patients from different location coming as far as Wangige, Kangemi and Uthiru for the service delivery which he promised will be excellent.

The MP said that in partnership with the County Government of Kiambu, the hospital will have sufficient equipment capable of handling emergencies that renowned hospitals handle.

He expressed his gratitude to Governor William Kabogo for his consistent support in funding the project that is expected to end by the end of the year.

“I appreciate County Governor William Kabogo for his unending support to Kikuyu Sub-county and his funding has greatly made this dream to start becoming true,” he said.

Ichungwa however challenged expectant mothers to avoid giving birth in their houses saying it increases the spread of HIV/AIDS and the mother is prone to die due to over bleeding.

The hospital will greatly reduce the unemployment in the region and improve the economic status of the County of Kiambu and the entire nation as well.

The legislator who was speaking in Kinoo area on Friday urged sponsors and well wishers to assist in building the hospital to help the Kinoo residents who have suffered for many years.
