Speaking today at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru when he joined Nakuru County’s Muslim community to celebrate Eid-Ul-fitr, Mbugua hailed the existing peace among the people.

“Nakuru County has been blessed with diversified religious groups, a factor that should unite us, and not to divide us. As we join our Muslim brothers and sisters across the globe in celebrating the close of the Holy Month of Ramadhan, I would like to urge everyone to see unity through diversity and to embrace each other regardless of their religious affiliation. Happy Eid Mubarak to you,” Mbugua said.

The governor also thanked the muslim community for their generosity and philanthropic spirit through the month, urging others to emulate this as a way of extending love to the less fortunate.

“Our brothers have shown immeasurable love to the less fortunate in the community regardless of whether they are Christians, fellow Muslims or pagans. Through this, they have given hope to the less fortunate, an act that can be emulated by everyone. Our Muslim brothers and sisters advocate for peace and love and the few that hide under Islam religion to carry out terror attacks are the lost few,” he added.
