Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua flagged off a Sh52 million medical supplies consignment for county health facilities on Monday at the County headquarters.
The consignment which was procured from Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (Kemsa) contains supplies for hospitals, health centres and dispensaries spread out across the county.
Speaking at the event, Mbugua said the health department is fully committed to procure more supplies on a quarterly basis to ensure adequate drugs and medical supplies are available in all health facilities.
"We are determined and committed in the improvement of the health sector in this County," he said.
Others who graced the occasion included the Health CeC Mungai Kabii, Nakuru East MP David Gikaria and Samuel Arama of Nakuru West constituency.
