Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has lauded the county assembly for passing crucial Bills that have helped improve service delivery to Nakuru residents.

Speaking to journalists after addressing the county assembly on Thursday, the governor thanked the Members of County Assembly (MCAs) for their dedicated work.

Mbugua said that so much has been achieved in the 2014-2015 financial year that ends on June 30.

The Nakuru governor cited the Nakuru County Nuisance Bill 2014, the Water Bill, and the Revenue Administration Bill 2014 which he said have been passed.

“I am happy with the dedication and commitment shown by the assembly members in passing Bills,” he said.

Mbugua said that such good relations between the MCAs and the executive have expedited service delivery.

The Nakuru county boss urged the MCAs to remain united and support the government in its quest to boost development.

Mbugua said that MCAs are the representatives of the people when it comes to legislation and over sighting.

The county boss also asked MCAs to be on the frontline and champion for peace and development at the ward levels.
