The foundation will hold educative seminars in Rhonda, London, Kaptembwa, Flamingo and Bondeni estates where youths will be sensitized on the importance of shunning drugs.

James Mwaniki an officer from the foundation said that the move has been necessitated with the rise in numbers of young people using drugs in the said areas.

Mwaniki said that they will involve church leaders, drug abuse reformed victims, doctors and counsellors to educate the youth on drug-related dangers.

"There have been complaints about the rise in number of young men and women using hard drugs in Nakuru and the foundation intends to step in trying to find a solution to this problem before it gets out of hand," said Mwaniki.

He added: "We will move around with church leaders and as well as other stake holders with the aim of reaching out to the young people and asking them not to ruin their lives by using drugs."

The first seminar will be held in London estate which has in the recent past been in the headlines for the increased use of drugs in the area.
