Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has embarked on a change of game plan to serve his constituents ahead of the eagerly awaited elections next year.
The governor has embarked on plans to serve the people right at their door-step in his regular sub-county outreach program which kicked off late last week.
Speaking Wednesday in Bahati sub-county, Mbugua who kicked off his visit to Bahati constituency, lamented the ordeal his electorates go through in trying to meet him in his office.
“It is sad to note that many people have been coming to see me in my offices but go back without being granted the chance to address their challenges to me. I am now committed to bringing services closer to you to ensure equal growth opportunities for everyone. This move is not in any way politically motivated but seeks to serve my people wherever they are. It is purely development-oriented,” Mbugua said.
In his two-day visit to the county, the governor who was accompanied by his deputy Joseph Ruto could not hide his joy following the collapse of the cases that were facing Deputy President William Ruto and journalist Joshua Sang, and encouraged people to turn out in large numbers for a thanks giving ceremony on April 16 at Afraha stadium, an event that the county boasts of hosting.
Also present during the welcoming of the county boss included Bahati, Kiamaina, Kabatini, Lanet/Umoja, and Bahati MCAs among other leaders.
