Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has urged leaders to unite in nation building initiatives and quit focusing on mere talk.
Speaking at Kiamaina in Bahati constituency during a funds drive for one of the local women’s group, Kinuthia said challenges in the county can’t be addressed by talk only.
“Challenges and issues that have continually been affecting people in Nakuru can only be articulated when all leaders read from the same page. I urge all leaders to focus on development agenda instead of campaigning this early because that is what people will judge you with,” he said.
Kinuthia, presented a cheque worth Sh 200,000 in the funds drive for Baraka Twaweza Women’s Group which is made up of over 60 women groups.
Earlier on, he joined worshippers at ACK All Saints Kiamaina church where he also presided over a fund raising to help the church with its development activities.
While addressing the congregation, Kinuthia applauded area MP Kimani Ngunjiri for initiating numerous development projects and working closely with the county government in developing his sub county.
“I want to thank my friend Kimani Ngunjiri for relentless efforts to make this constituency the best. It is only through hard work by our MPs that the overall performance will reflect on the county at large,” he said.
