The entrance of former transition authority boss Kinuthia Wa Mwangi into politics will likely tilt the gubernatorial race in next year's polls.
According to Agnes Ndichu, a public relations consultant in Nakuru, Wa Mwangi even though not known so much on the ground is coming with a lot of money something she says that will make the race tighter.
"In Kenya political campaigns are all about money and whoever comes with a lot of money gets an upper hand," she said.
"Wa Mwangi is well monied and there is no doubt that he will give Mbugua a run for his money and the race might turn out to be between the two," she added.
Mrs Ndichu argues that Wa Mwangi has a well organised political network on the ground something she says will boost him.
She, however, agrees that it will not be easy for Wa Mwangi to trounce Mbugua in next year's polls.
"It will not be a walk in the park for Wa Mwangi and he will have to work extra hard if he wants to unseat governor Mbugua," she said.
