Close to 10million shillings will be used for the ceremony that will take place at the Nakuru show ground.
Addressing media today, outgoing County secretary Joseph Motari said all is set to ensure smooth transition to the second county government of Nakuru.
“Actually we have held several meetings in relation to the swearing in ceremony of the second Governor of Nakuru County and I must say all is set for the ceremony,” he said.
While clarifying that the ceremony will take place at the Nakuru ASK show ground contrary to what had been reported in a section of the media, the outgoing County secretary stated that they are working within a budget of close to 10 million shillings.
Motari made the briefing after holding meeting that was also attended by County Commissioner Joshua Nkanatha as well as county police commander Hassan Barua and Nakuru East Deputy County Commissioner Salat.
“Someone asked me about the approximate budget and let me state here that we are working towards not more than 10 million shillings….it will range from seven to eight million shillings” he said.
On his part Nakuru county Commissioner Joshua Nkanatha assured residents of tight security and that the transition of power from incumbent governor Kinuthia Mbugua to incoming Governor Lee Kinyanjui will be smooth.
