Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyajnjui has urged all drivers to ensure they are keen this festive season to avoid road accidents.
Speaking on Tuesday during the lighting of a Christmas tree at Government Road, the governor said road carnage has become a menace and there is need for everyone to be vigilant of rogue drivers.
The Salgaa black spot along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway has become a killer spot where more than 30 people have perished in the month of December alone.
The county boss gifted several residents Christmas gifts to enjoy this festive season.
Those lucky received vouchers worth Sh1000 each.
Street families were also treated to drinks and breads as they mingled with the governor.
Kinyanjui also urged everyone in society to ensure they touch the hearts of the less fortunate in society by sharing Christmas with them.
