Not long ago, there were reports he had picked former National Cohesion and Integration Commission officer Rev Lawrence Bommet as his gubernatorial running mate.

 "I have not picked or chosen a running mate. Because the time and process of such a move would have to be consultative and at best done much later into the campaign so as to build consensus. However we shall continue to invite and receive people who wish to join our camp and whom we share a common vision," the former Nakuru Town MP posted on social media.
