Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui has welcomed the appointment of his predecessor Kinuthia Mbugua to be State House comptroller.
Kinyanjui defeated Mbugu during the Jubilee nominations for the party's ticket in the gubernatorial race.
"On behalf of the people of Nakuru County, I wish to take this opportunity to thank the President of Kenya, H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta for appointing former Governor of Nakuru County, H.E. Kinuthia Mbugua as Statehouse Controller," Kinyanjui said.The governor said the move is a great achievement for the county.
He said the county hopes Uhuru will reward it one more time with a CS post."We however remain optimistic that Nakuru County will be considered for the Cabinet positions that are yet to be announced," he said.
