Nakuru residents have hit out at Governor Lee Kinyanjui over the state of drainage system in  Nakuru town.

The drainage seems blocked leaving the town to flood every time it rains.

The most affected areas are Kenyatta Avenue, along with Equity bank at Gate House as well as the Cigma Roundabout.

“We are shocked that the governor talked about setting aside Sh20 million for refurbishing Nyayo Gardens yet the drainage system is in a mess,” Ruth Ngina said.

A trader in the town said Kinyanjui must get his priorities right.

“How can our governor set aside Sh20 million for luxury when he cannot fix the drainage system which is affecting us every time it rains? Julius Kiai said.
