The governor warned health workers over inefficiency and delays.

He urged them to ensure good services to patients.

"We ask nurses, doctors and the medical staff in our clinics to ensure efficiency in service delivery. We do not want to hear cases of patients waiting for hours to be attended to. We have to turnaround our customer care, handle our patients fast," Kinyanjui said.

Speaking when he launched a dialysis machine donated by Safaricom foundation, the governor said he has employed 200 nurses on a contract basis to aid in service delivery.

Kinyanjui said the county government will introduce an Oncology clinic to deal with cancer patients in a month.

"We will build capacity for our nurses in cancer care so that we do not import experts to the hospital once the clinic is open," he said.

Kinyanjui said the Sh3.6 million dialysis will increase the number of kidney treatments, having 30 patients treated in a day.
