Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui will spend Sh20 million to give Nyayo Gardens a new face.
The small park sandwiched between Government Road and Kenyatta Avenue has been earmarked for a facelift.
The county’s top boss said it will be fenced, lights put up and special seats for residents to be enjoying a cool breeze as they while the time away.
The park is among Nakuru’s ‘frustration square’ where the jobless, students and those frustrated by life run to drown their sorrows.
Another ‘frustration square’ is Lions Garden at the CBD.Governor Kinyanjui said the move to rehabilitate the park is in line with his manifesto of beautifying the town in readiness for a city status.
