Kipsigis Council of elders has lamented over the recent appointment of cabinet and principal secretaries by President Uhuru Kenyatta, saying the community got a raw deal.
Led by the council chairperson William Ketienya, they claimed that the number of CSs who were appointed from the community were few compared to the support which the community offered to Jubilee Party.
Ketienya said the community voted overwhelmingly for the ruling party and it should have been rewarded handsomely through appointments.
He said the energy docket which is the only one given to the South Rift region was split thus rendering the CS Charles Keter irrelevant as key departments in the docket were split and taken away from him.
The chairman asked President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to offer them additional dockets since they will decide their political future.
