Government spokesperson Eric Kiraithe has faulted NASA politicians for creating a utopian world for the masses for their own personal gain.
Kiraithe said the ‘deceptive’ political campaigns being spearheaded by NASA are likely to derail the country.
Speaking during a press conference in Mombasa, Kiraithe criticised NASA’s economic boycott calls, saying it will derail the country’s efforts towards attaining Vision 2030.
He appealed to politicians to think about future generations, arguing that we risk putting them in problems if we do not strive to attain the goals of Vision 2030.
"Secession will not help the common Mwananchi," said Kiraithe, while commenting on the controversial debate on secession sponsored by Governor Hassan Joho of Mombasa and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi.
Kiraithe urged Coast residents to resist the calls for secession.
Kiraithe also weighed in the diplomatic row between Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
The spokesman’s remarks come in the wake of rising conflict between Kenya and her neighbours over cross-border conflicts.
He noted that the grazing issue with Tanzania is being handled at the diplomatic level.
He further noted that the Migingo debate was a complex issue which required sobriety in its handling.
Kiraithe appealed to Kenyans to work on initiatives to liberate themselves from poverty.
