The national government has sounded a warning to foreign nations working with the Opposition to destabilise operations in the country.

‘Investigations have bore intelligence to the effect that there are individuals within the country who are working with two neighbouring countries to destabilise the Government and create conditions of instability, insecurity, disorder and strife,’ revealed Kiraithe.
The Jubilee administration through the spokesman cautioned the said individuals, adding that their move to collaborate with the country’s enemy is treason and would be dwelt with according to the law if found guilty.
Kiraithe added that upon completion of investigations, the government would announce the names of the persons in question, to avoid compromising national security.
“In due course, the Government will be revealing the results of our investigations, and exposing these despicable traitors,” said the former police spokesman.
During the news briefing, the spokesman disclosed that Uhuru Park and Nyayo Stadium would remain closed on Madaraka Day to resolve a disagreement between the Cord and Prayers Beyond Boundaries ministry, both of whom claimed to have secured the grounds for their distinct rallies.
Kiraithe underscored that the decision to halt activities at Uhuru Park on Madaraka Day was reached at by the National Security Advisory Committee, beseeching the two parties to organise for their rallies at a later date.
