A kiratina man has been earning a living through dog rearing.
Paul Mwangi says the venture has been performing well and he has no regrets over it.
“I am trained electrical engineer but for now I resigned the job and embarked on dog rearing,” says Mwangi.
“When I compare my former job with my current venture, there is a striking difference,” notes Mwangi.
Speaking on Wednesday at Kiratina Location, Nakuru Town East Constituency, Mwangi says he can not regret resigning his former jobs.
“My income has increased I can not complain so far I am really happy,” says Mwangi.
Mwangi called on the unemployed youth to try their hand at rearing dogs as it has a readily available market.
“I don’t see why the youth should involve themselves in criminal activities when there are untapped opportunities in dogs rearing business,” notes Mwangi.
He says that he has over 77 dogs that are tailored to meet his customer’s needs.
Mwangi says that he leases out his dogs to security firms or individuals who want to enhance security in their homes.
“Sometimes I sell my dogs to security firms and I get a handsome cash,” said Mwangi.
He says that a number of Kenyans have shown interests in dogs in the wake of insecurity in the country.
“Many Kenyans are seeking dogs due to the insecurity in their homes,” said Mwangi.
Mwangi says that he has been able to educate his children with the proceeds he earns from selling dogs.
