Speaking in their offices in Ruiru, the chairman of Zimmerman Settlement Scheme Francis Kirima has called on both the national and county governments to make lands offices digital.
“A lot of people have bought the idea of lands services’ digitalization. The online platform will be convenient as this will reduce corruption and also save people a lot of time as they will not be forced to move from office to office in search of the services,” Kirima.
According to the chairman, the government will gain more revenue which is lost in bad deals like fake receipts.
Elijah Njoroge, the CEO of Airwave also supported digitization on lands office. Saying that the move will assist the government to realize the vision 2030.
“He said that online lands services will reduce long lines in lands offices and also will reduce cheating and stealing of lands,” said Njoroge.
