A Kisii Catholic Bishop, Joseph Mairura, has sent out a public plea to president Uhuru Kenyatta to reach out to the Opposition in order to foster national healing and peace after divisive poll.Bishop Mairura spoke at the Cathedral Church where he bemoaned the state of play in the country. He expressed his gratitude to the NASA top brass for postponing the swearing-in of veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga, saying that the move would create room for much-needed dialogue.''I prayed that the swearing-in does not take place. President Uhuru was sworn in legally and given the instrument of power, therefore, swearing-in Raila would have divided the country and caused chaos,'' said Bishop Mairura according to the People Daily. The Bishop's words come in the backdrop of tensions wrought by a bitter electioneering period that has left the country divided.
