The recent mistreatment case of a 13 year old girl from Daraja Mbili in Kisii County has caught the county’s children department attention.
Joyce Keno, Kisii County children officer, said that they have lodged a case aganist the accused who happens to be the girl’s aunt.
'We have already started our investigation concerning the claim,” said Keno.
Keno said that the girl was badly beaten by her aunt and she has been transferred to Kisii Children’s home for her safety.
Robert Ohanga, the girl’s teacher, was the one who noted that the girl has been assaulted.
After interrogating the girl Ohanga noted that the girl has been assualted by her aunt.
This case comes barely a week after Keno warned parents and guardians against mistreating their children during this holiday season.
