Hezron Nyang’au of Mosobeti Catholic Church said they may consider demolishing a section of the church wall after an aggrieved party failed to strike a deal with church.

This comes a week after the land row between the church and Kevin Mosomi was concluded after the later was favored by a decision by land surveyors from Nyamira County.

“I admit the church might have mistakenly extended to his land but we have no option other than to demolish a section of the church. This may again cost us a lot of money given that we may consider rebuilding the church,” Nyang’au said.

“We have tried to reach an agreement with Mosomi and settle the matter by compensating him but unfortunately, he has persistently insisted the contrary,” added Nyang’au.

Mosomi on the other hand said he had to compel them demolish the structure since the church had subjected him to bureaucracies to ascertain whether the land was his.

“I might have accepted their plea but I was not happy with the way they handled the issue from the beginning. They have to do it because there is no otherwise,” he said.
