Barely few days after president Uhuru Kenyatta's Cabinet secretaries took over in office his 'close' challenger Thirdway Alliance leader Ekuru Aukot has unveiled his shadow Cabinet and managed to set aside three powerful slots to the Gusii Community.
Those who were lucky include Irene Kemunto(Foreign Affairs ), Naphtali Mose (Agriculture), and finally Cyprian Nyambane who was considered for the (Devolution) docket.
According to Auokot his move is ensured that there is regional balance and was guided by article 130 of the Constitution before naming the shadow cabinet secretaries.
"Our work will ensure that the current government is kept in check as were the government in waiting" said Aukot in live televised event
The party officials said in the next one month they'll be able to give the outline issues they want to be resolved.
However the shadow cabinet secretaries will be working with Auokot under volunteer basis.
"This are young vibrant Kenyans who have sacrificed themselves to work on volunteer basis to ensure we have a brighter future" said Auokot
