Kisii community will be told where to vote in the next general election to salvage the community from remaining in opposition for more than 10 years.
According to Nyamira senator Kennedy Okong’o, Gusii leaders are going to meet to discuss which side they are going to support in 2017.
Okong’o said Gusii region can’t allow being in opposition for more that ten years without the benefits to the residents and they should think and weigh which side is going to win and support it.
Okong’o was speaking in Nyamira town and he said that in October this year the Gusii community will be told where to vote after the leaders’ discussion.
“Before the Gusii leaders’ discussion I as the Nyamira senator I am not going to remain in opposition in the next general election 2017,” noted Okong’o.
“Better to be on the government's side to benefit a lot, here in Nyamira we are on the opposition side as of now but president Uhuru Kenyatta has launched various development projects without discriminating us so we have to calculate so that we can get more,” added Okong’o
Okong’o was elected on an ODM ticket in the last general election.
