Bobasi parliamentary seat aspirant Naftali Mogere has lamented that despite having the primary health facilities across the County, the Kisii County Government had failed to equip and stock the primary health care facilities with required equipment and drugs.

Speaking on Friday evening at Nyambunwa village of Bassi Chache Ward in Bobasi Constituency, Mogere wondered why the County Government exposed area residents to walking for long distances to seek medical services yet the national Government had channeled devolved funds to the County Government to take services closer to the residents.

"I am raising concern over the Kisii County Government's failure to stock primary health care facilities across the County with required drugs, forcing patients to walk for long distances seeking medical services yet the County Government has received millions of shillings from the national Government for the same," said Mogere.

Mogere also wondered why the Kisii County Government had taken long to open some primary health facilities three years down the line, yet the facilities had been completed through funding from the Constituency Development Fund(CDF) kitty.
