Kisii County Commissioner Godfrey Kigochi has said that the Government will help in getting back a land owned by Kisii University but in the possession of cartels.
He said he will work hand in hand with student leaders and school administration to address the issue.
"On 12th March, we shall meet here again and i will give you the responses. Remember that dialogue is always the best way," Mr Kigochi said.
The piece of land which is in question is 7 acres and was issued to the University by former President Mwai Kibaki.
Student leaders that attended the meeting led by Peter Kuria also asked Me Kigochi to address insecurity issues around the school.
"We ask you to ensure that enough officers are sent around to provide security at night. To the County Government it's good they Improved on the street lighting as well for the benefit of students and locals," he said.
He also said that they shall not rest until the school gets back its land.
Kisii County secretary Mr. Patrick Lumumba, who represented Governor James Ongwae said that in 10 days time roads around the school will be improved.
"Within one month, all the roads will be repaired and maintained often to ensure best served," Mr Lumumba said.
