Speaking on Monday in Kisii town, Osoro noted that many of Kisii county farmers have experienced a great loss due to increased number of quack veterinarians who administer incorrect medication to their animals.

“I am urging Kisii county farmers to be always careful against bogus veterinary officers that kill animals by administering incorrect medication,” noted Osoro.

"In this county there are some bogus veterinary officers who masquerade as registered practitioners but in the real sense they are not prompting a great loss to our farmers,” added Osoro.

He also challenged Kisii farmers to use qualified and registered veterinary officers before they offer services to their animals.

“Let every farmer be careful to avoid great loss and am asking Kisii county government to organise meetings to educate our farmers across the county on how to practice modern farmers,” added Osoro.
