Speaking to this writer at his office on Friday after inspecting all the Examination Distribution Centres, the County Director of Examination Richard Chepkawai expressed his satisfaction and joy in the way the first day kicked off without any hitch.

“I am happy the way things turned out today. I am also grateful to all the stakeholders in general for the good work they did today and wish and hope that we shall carry on the process until the last paper without any hitch,” said the CDE.

Chepkawai also asked the candidates to stay calm and confident as they tackle examination questions.

He also cautioned candidates from engaging in examination malpractices and hoped that all the candidates have prepared well for the examinations.

“The candidates have prepared themselves well. The clergymen have also prayed for them. Therefore, they are prepared in all circles hence capable of passing without any assistance from any unorthodox means,” he added.

Kisii County has 20,309 KCSE registered candidates sitting for this year’s examination and 26,984 KCPE candidates.
