Addressing residents in Kerina sub-county during the commissioning of Kerina Water Project, Opore said that there are local leaders who always politicise projects that have been started to help the residents and the community at large.

“We need to take the fight against corruption to another level and those who are not with us should join us, petty politics do not help in development, it rather spoils it all, if we deliver then that will be the best leadership in the county,” said Opore.

He said that action should be taken against anyone who diverts public funds meant for key undertakings such as roads and other community development projects to initiate none priority projects due to vested interests and personal interest.

He said politicians should stop interfering with development and instead make comments on issues that will help everyone, adding that politics compromises development of the community.

“Politicians should give room for development , no one would like to be associated with a poor county and therefore lets all join hands and make sure all the promises we gave are delivered,” advised Opore.
