Residents have condemned the government of not addressing their issues unless they take very destructive actions.

"I really feel that our County Government should l listen to the grievances from us and respond promptly and not to wait until destructive actions are taken, like what you have just seen today morning where unknown people blocked the road to town," Polycarp Ocharo, a resident told hivisasa. The abrupt roadblock has caused a lot of jam in the town and even affected businesses for hours. "We were late to work today because the road was closed and the businesses stopped for hours along the Kisii -Kisumu road because of the struggle by the police to open the roads as residents resisted." Mark Matiang'i a resident said.
