Speaking at his office, the Kisii county Administration Chief Officer Patrick Lumumba said that the court will be dealing with littering cases, spitting in public and noise pollution.

Lumumba also disclosed that the court will also prosecute those found washing their vehicles in rivers in the county adding that it is a move by the county government to help streamline operations in the county.

“The county government is setting up a court that will be dealing with littering cases in the town, spitting, noise pollution among other cases in an effort to make more efficient the running of operations in the county,” he said.

He also noted that the county has moved the matatus plying the Kisii-Keroka and Kisii-Menyinkwa roads to a new stage to help decongest the town.

Lumumba said that some roads will have to be closed down so as to allow traders conduct their businesses as the county government plans on moving them to designated workplaces.

“Menyinkwa and Keroka matatus have been moved to a new stage behind Tuskys supermarket to create more space for traders as the government plans on how to relocate them to specific areas where they shall conduct their businesses from,” said Lumumba.

He also added that the county government has come up with environment friendly kiosks for the vendors.
