Kisii County Government donated foodstuff to prisoners at the Kisii GK Prison.
The assorted foodstuff and other donations were raised during the Governor’s Christmas Tree.
The CEC, Administration and stakeholder Management Dr Okibo Bichanga and Chief Officer Geoffrey Mogire presented the items to the Officer In charge Mr. Aggrey Akoyo and Hellen Akoyo for the men and women wings.
Okibo conveyed the Governor’s goodwill message to the prisoners and called on residents to remember those in need during this festive season
“We feel appreciated, especially when your Government involves us in most National Events,” said Mr Akoyo. On her part, Ms Gikonyo requested for support in constructing a social hall for the women wing.
A trustee, Ms Esther Kwamboka thanked the County Government for their continued support to the institution.
