Kisii County government will launch a talent academy to nurture talents beginning January 2018.

County officer Caroline Nyasetia and sports chief officer Mr Duke Mainga have confirmed that they will organise a football tournament where teams from various sub-counties will be picked in a county competition.

Addressing football fans at Magenche, Maingi, together with county assembly majority leader Mr Ogugu and Nyasetia said many .children and youths  have talents that are underutilised

They are putting proper mechanisms to build two academies, for soccer and athletics. The academies will enable Kisii youths to realise and capitalise on their talents.
