[Photo/Kisii county Facebook page] The county government of Kisii will partner with the Kenya Literature Bureau (KLB) to improve education in the county.KLB board member Zack Botongore said they will support the county as one way of delivering on the corporate social responsibility. The areas of collaboration include sponsorship for training, equipping and stocking community libraries, the supply of teaching and learning materials, construction of modern latrines for ECD centers among others.“We have a good working relationship with the County which we would like to enhance through partnership. Vocational training is one area we can support as we have developed books for artisan trade courses. We can also sponsor training,” said Botongore.County boss James Ongwae thanked KLB for their continued support and said they will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the organisation. KLB will launch distribution of books to Form One students between 4th and 8th January 2018 in Kisii County. KLB is printing 42 out of the 52 titles approved by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD).#Kisiigov
