Kisii law court has scheduled the verdict date on the petition challenging the election of county woman rep Janet Ong'era on February 26.

The petitioners and respondents' lawyers submitted their final submissions before Judge  Anthony Ndung'u on Friday.

However, Ong'era's advocate Mr Okong'o Omogeni asked the court to dismiss the case since it is against the will of the electorates.

Omogeni said the process was conducted according to the constitution.

IEBC and County returning officer’s counsels defended the elections results saying the errors committed could not annul the whole exercise.

Last week the court dismissed the application of scrutiny and recount of votes which the petitioner presented in court.
