Kisii dairy farmers have been warned not to supply unclean milk to direct consumers and to the Kenya Dairy Board.
According to the Kisii Dairy Board development officer Oirere David, they have warned the farmers and they would be inspecting all the milk at all selling points to make sure the milk was safe and up to standard.
According to Oirere the milk being consumed in the area is unclean and most of the farmers sell milk containing chemicals and water.
He also added that they would be carrying an operation in the county, adding that this operation would continue to make sure that the milk business in kisii is clean.
"We must see the milk business clean and we want all consumers to get the right commodities and have a safe health," said Oirere.
The officer also added that they would be very strict and that those found violating the dairy laws would be forced to face the law.
