Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has called for political tolerance in the county urging politicians to focus on delivering services to the residents.
Speaking at Gusii Stadium during the launch of the county flag, the deputy governor said politicians should channel their energy in service delivery instead of engaging in political battles.
He said the new flag should signify a new beginning in the county's political circles to ensure residents get quality services from their leaders.
Maangi asked the local leaders to embrace unity and spearhead the community development agenda to the next level saying political wrangles among leaders has led to poor service delivery.
“The hoisting of our county flag symbolises the creation of the Kisii County Government and opens a new chapter in our history as a people from this county,” observed Maangi
The deputy governor clarified that, just like the national flag signifies the authority and sovereignty of the nation, the county flag signifies the county authority and sovereignty in the county.
