Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has hailed the county health officers for their good job.
Speaking on Friday at St Vincent Pastoral Centre in Kisii town during a conference with the health officers, Maangi noted that the county health officers are among few who have not gone on strike.
Maangi said that the county will continue working closely with them to improve health services in the area.
He lauded them for initiating talks at all times with the county government thus good working relationship between the two.
"I appreciate the work done by our health workers in our county, that has put us on top of county ranking in health service provision. This has been as a result of good working relationship between the county government and the county health union," noted Maangi.
"We could have not made any significant stride if we were like other counties that have frequent wrangles between the health sector and county government,” added Maangi.
The county deputy boss encouraged the health officers to work hard and promised that the county will support them all round to see health service improved in all hospitals in the county.
