An architect Boniface Omboto has joined Kisii county gubernatorial race to unseat the incumbent Governor James Ongwae.
Omboto aged 36 told the Nation that he will strive to end poverty among the Kisii county locals who he said have not been led well.
"I will work to ensure that Kisii county residents get basic needs and development if elected," he said.
Omboto has now joined other aspirants such as South Mugirango MP Manson Nyamweya, law lecturer Charles Maranga, Lumumba Nyaberi and Kisii county Senator Chris Obure who have declared an interest to unseat ODM Governor James Ongwae in 2017 polls.
