The anti-IEBC demonstration lead by Cord Mps Ababu Namwamba and Ken Okoth were peaceful with no cases of unrest being reported.
Unlike last week where the police were termed as the “boys” for throwing teargas and terrorised the demonstrators who were misbehaving, yesterday's demo was peaceful and nobody was harmed.
The AP commander allowed Namwamba to make the statement just outside the county IEBC gate where he addressed the resident of Kisii and said that they are protesting peacefully and none is ready to be teargassed.
Another Mp who was expected in the demo, Richard Onyonka but instead he decided to remain at the Gusii cultural hall where there was a parliamentary budget public participation forum.
Last week people were tear gassed and injured by the police when they tried to invade the IEBC offices in Kisii county.
