Nyaribabari Chache Member of Parliament Richard Tong’i has refuted claims that the Kisii region was politically under the grip of the Raila Odinga – led National Super Alliance (NASA) and insisted that Jubilee has the majority support in the ground.
Ton’gi dismissed local politicians who are supporting the opposition terming them as enemies of development and warned the NASA brigade of a titanic political battle come the August 8th general elections.
The legislators dismissed the utterances attributed by governor Ongwae that they will win majority of the seats come August and termed his remarks as baseless and called upon him to embrace a clean defeat.
“We have seen what Jubilee has done to the region and we believe that if they are given another opportunity they will be able to do more for us” he added
He made these remarks today at Masimba in Nyaribari Masaba Constituency when he was welcoming president Uhuru Kenyatta who is on a tour in the region.
The legislator is among many other politicians from the region who have exuded confidence that the Head of State would be re-elected in the August polls .
