Locals of Kisii have raised their concern of incompetence by the land commissioners saying they are entertaining grabbers.
They have been accused of not effectively rendering their duties o countering the land grabbers who they say have grabbed a number of lands including public land.
The locals want the commissioners sent home.
“We can’t have a commission that does not work. We have numerous cases of land grabbing yet they are just there in their offices doing nothing other than investigations that never end,” said Jonathan Musore.
Kisii County has been in the limelight following accusations of private and public land grabbing.
“The commission does not put to notice neither do they prosecute those involved in land grabbing. Some officials are corrupt and collude with the grabbers,” said Anderson Munyoe.
They now want their governor James Ongwae to send them home and form another independent land commission that will serve the locals effectively.
