Kisii County Executive Committee member of Lands Moses Onderi has denied the county Land Management Board Chairman Ombasa Omweno's claims that he has sidelined the board from activities of his docket.
CeC Onderi expressed concern over the allegations, challenging the Chairman Omweno to get in touch with his office if he has issues which he felt needed his attention instead of accusing him falsely.
Speaking to the press in his office, Onderi reminded Chairman Omweno that the Board's mandate was clearly defined in law and nobody will ever want to change or alter what the legislation provides in terms of the board's duties and mandate.
He said that it will be unfortunate if he undermined the Board's mandate, yet his docket needed the Board more and being an agency under his docket it was an important organ in the county government in matters to do with land.
"As the County CeC for lands, I have no intention of undermining the Board which is an agency directly under my docket. I think the Board Chairman's allegations are imaginary since he has not raised any issues pertaining that subject to me," stated Onderi.
Onderi said he was working hard within its mandate to ensure that all structures and infrastructure were in place to enhance the Board's efficient delivery of services.
