Gusii leaders have been challenged to start their leadership from ‘home’ by supporting projects and inviting investors to enhance development in the area.

Addressing journalists on Thursday at Kisii Sports Ground, Akama used the platform to challenge all leaders to support projects that are meant to improve development of the whole region.

According to Akama, leaders should support all projects that are meant to help the county achieve its goals in order to see the county do better.

He further urged them to start showing their leadership from the grassroots, by giving hand to those projects before going to help other outside projects.

“Our leaders should have to support the projects that are meant to help this county to grow and improve its development projects,” said Akama.

“Since we have leaders representing national government and others representing the county government, there is not a barrier for them coming together, they should come together and discuss issues that can make our county to grow,” he went on.

“We can only achieve all we want to achieve as the county whether in education sector, health and other sectors when we can come and join hand to hand to achieve them as leaders,” he added.

Also he urged leaders to put aside politics when it comes to developments, saying there is time for everything.
