Following the release of four Kenyans who were held in South Sudan for over 2 years, certain leaders and the family of flamboyant businessman Don Bosco Gichana want the Kenyan government to secure his release from Tanzania. Gichana was arrested and later charged with his lawyer friend Median Boastice Mwale for money laundering. He has been behind bars for the last six years.Celestine Gichana, his sister, and Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka, Former Kituitu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire asked the government to reach a deal with the Tanzania government for his release since he had not been charged with anything.Gichana's mother died in 2016 of depression according to Celestine.''We have spent millions of shillings to ensure the release of my brother but unfortunately, that has not happened.'' She said according to the Daily Nation.Onyonka lamented that the Kenyan government has not done enough to secure Gichan's release.
