Kisii county governor James Ongwae has said the area has sufficient network coverage as opposed to the IEBC position that several sections in the county have no network.
Addressing the press on Sunday in Kisii town, the governor said the county has one of the best network availability in the country and Iebc should find out more about that instead of simply making claims.
"Kisii county has never had serious network anomalies. In fact, it has one of the best network coverage in the country," he said.
His sentiments were echoed by ODM senatorial hopeful Sam Ongeri who cautioned the poll body against politicising the county affairs and acting mischevious.
"We don't want somebody to politicise the affairs of a county, we have network coverage and somebody should stop trying to be smart with us," he said.
On Sunday the IEBC said about 25 per cent of the polling stations in the country do not have the 3G network coverage to enable presiding officers to transmit election results electronically. Kisii county was on the list.
