A section of Kisii County leaders associated with Jubilee Party has said they have a reason to smile as they managed to deliver a substantial number of votes to President Uhuru Kenyatta's camp despite the political temperatures that were high during the voting time.

Led by former Kisii County senator Chris Obure, the leaders said that they faced numerous challenges during the campaign especially from NASA leader Raila Odinga who incited locals any time he landed to Kisii.

Obure said they had a minimum target of at least 200,000 votes from Kisii County alone but they only managed to deliver 140,000 slightly below their target.

"Kisii County is a democratic one and as Jubilee leaders, we thank our supporters for turning out in large numbers to vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta and we urge all to remain united regardless of your political stand," said Obure

Speaking on Sunday at Nyamache PAG on Sunday, the former Raila ally told him to retire from active politics and support a candidate who will win.

The leader was accompanied by a section of MPs and MCA's allied to Jubilee party.
