A Kisii man has landed a Sh 5 million deal with social media giant Facebook.
Dr Duncan Omanga, a lecturer at Moi University beat applicants from other parts of the globe to emerge the winner.
The reward will be used to conduct a research on how Facebook has changed peoples' life since it started existing.
Mr Omanga told Hivisasa that he will be using the money to do a research in Kayole, Umoja and Huruma estates in Nairobi.
Dr Omanga will be visiting Menlo Park, California which is the social media giant headquarters.
Security officers in the country have been using Facebook to fight crime in Eastlands.
"Facebook has helped divert criminal activities in many estates, I will hire two masters students to help me in the project," he said.
