A Kisii man accused of threatening Interior CS Dr Fred Matiang'i will be detained at the Parklands police station for the next five days.
Mr Wycliff Nyaega who appeared before Chief Magistrate Hellen Okwani is said to have committed the crime while in Kisii.
Magistrate Okwani allowed the police to detain him for five more days.
This is after the prosecution team said that if he is released on bail the suspect might tamper with investigations.
"The man committed the crime with others who are yet to be arrested and this week the investigations will reach Gusii region," requested the prosecutor following the case.
The court was also told that the man committed the crime with others who are in hiding after they realised that Mr Ayiega had been arrested.
The prosecution team assured the court that by the end of five days it will be having enough evidence.
